Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Red Bronze

When you think of Bell & Ross, the first thing that comes to mind is the Pilot’s Watch collection with a square case inspired by the cockpit dashboard clock of an airplane, but the diver’s watch collection, which continues the brand’s unique design code, is also quite popular overseas. In particular, the latest BR 03-92 diver series features a signature square case with a unidirectional rotating bezel, and a unique screw-down crown and double waterproof seal design to meet ISO 6425, the international standard for diver’s replica watches, while maintaining a water resistance of 300m Guaranteed to be a professional diving tool.

Since its launch in 2017, several color variations have followed, such as black, green, blue, and orange, and this year, a new variation of a bronze (bronze) case with a red color dial and bezel ring has been added. The case measures 42 mm in width x height and is made of CuSn8 bronze with brushed and satin polished finish. It is a bronze alloy containing 92% copper and 8% tin. It is hard and strong against corrosion, so it has been used for various sailing equipment and diving helmets for a long time, so it is a material with a deep connection to the sea.
The 60-minute graduated bronze unidirectional rotating bezel features anodized aluminum inserts in a deep burgundy-red color. The front glass uses a 2.85mm thick sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which is much thicker than that of the Pilot’s Watch BR 03-92 series (1.5mm thick) to prevent the glass from breaking or falling out easily in real diving environments. The matte-finished red dial has gilt (rose gold-plated) appliqué indexes and hands to match the tone of the bronze case, and each is filled with white Super-LumiNova to ensure sufficient readability in the dark sea.
The movement, like its predecessors, is equipped with the BR-CAL.302 modified with the Cellita automatic base (SW300) with a three-hand date function (frequency of 4 Hz, power reserve of about 42 hours). On the other hand, the case back is made of stainless steel material, considering those with sensitive skin who are sensitive to the patina (patina) component that occurs in bronze. In addition to the basic black sports rubber strap, a brown calfskin strap designed with a vintage feel is provided separately with a replaceable driver. For reference, the buckle also has a pin buckle made of the same bronze material as the case.
The BR 03-92 Diver Red Bronze (Ref. BR0392-D-R-BR/SCA) is a limited edition with a total of 999 pieces, and the retail price is set at 4,200 Euro (EUR) in European standards.
